Creating Evo-Hubs

After writing a hub entitled 10 Great Ways How to Increase Your Hubpages Traffic and Earnings, I realized the potential for ever-evolving hubs. This hub was one of my most popular articles because it encouraged people to follow and stay up-to-date with my progress of my Hubpages earnings. It worked because people were truly interested in how much I was making because they too wanted to earn money with Hubpages.

With social media, the world is now being encouraged to connect and stay connected to the things they are interested in. By encouraging readers to re-read your articles, you will increase your readership, traffic and earnings.

What is an Evo-Hub?

An Evo-Hub is a term that I created, referring to a constantly evolving hubpage. It will encourage readers to return to your hub periodically to check the progress of your story or experiment. Unlike a static blog post or hubpage, information is constantly added to update your readers on a particular subject.

Examples of an Evo-Hub:

  • Writing series or ongoing story
  • Weight loss progress
  • Financial budget or earnings report
  • Craft project or art series
  • Book club
  • Campaign or charity

What are the benefits of an Evo-Hub?

There are many benefits of creating an Evo-Hub, for both you and your readers. Benefits include:

  • Creating engaging and insightful content
  • Keeping track of your progress
  • Creating readership
  • Gaining followers
  • Increasing overall traffic
  • Staying on top of search engine results
  • Increasing earnings
  • Linking to other social networks for additional readership, traffic and earnings

What to include in your Evo-Hub

The more you can engage your readers, the better it is for your Evo-Hub. Provide them with helpful tools, links and resources based on your hub. Include several polls asking their opinions and then later add a blurb describing the outcome of the poll. In your comments capsule, change the title of "comments" to a question people can answer. You may also want to encourage your readers to tweet, post or pin your hub to get the word out about your project, charity or experiment. People love to talk and share - take advantage of it!

You may also want to include a link for a Mailchimp mailing list, to keep subscribers up-to-date with your progress. Also, don't forget to remind your readers to follow your hub by clicking the green button on the bottom of your hub!

If you are looking for funding for your project, you may want to check out websites like Kickstarter for crowdfunding, It's a great way to promote and fund your project, charity or campaign.
